Forest bathing or Shinrin-yoku (森林浴)

Forest bathing or Shinrin-yoku (森林浴), as it is called in Japanese, is a short leisurely walk in  a wooded area. In Japan it is recognised as a way of managing stress and there has been a recent study which looked at the effect of Shinrin-yoku on dogs!

While further studies are needed, there is some evidence that play and exposure to forest conditions may also be beneficial to dogs :). All the dogs today definitely seemed more relaxed after the walk and ready to snooze the rest of the afternoon away.
